Cibolo drivers face a few more years of FM 1103 construction

Those traffic cones on FM 1103 between I-35 and Rodeo Way aren't going anywhere.  TxDOT is widening the Farm to Market road from two lanes to four with a center turn lane, plus bike lanes and sidewalks, to keep up with explosive growth in Schertz and Cibolo.  Cibolo had about 4,000 residents in 2000. Today it's at 40,000, a 733% jump.  The catch: the project was supposed to wrap up in late 2025 or early 2026, and now TxDOT says 2029.
