San Antonio ranks #1 for Gen Z

A new Redfin study found Gen Z moved to San Antonio in 2024 more than any other city in the country, beating out Washington, D.C., Austin, Nashville and Dallas. Over 10,000 young people made the move, and when KSAT's Olivia Dague asked why, the answers came back fast. Trinity University economist Dr. David McPherson says even he was surprised San Antonio outranked Austin, the city usually credited with pulling in Gen Z.
