School Year Calendars for 2015-2016

SAN ANTONIO – The first day of classes for most San Antonio-area schools is Monday, Aug. 24, but you can find more important dates for the 2015-2016 school year on your school district's or private school's website.

Students who attend schools within most major public school districts will have the following days off:

• Labor Day - Sept. 7
• Columbus Day - Oct. 12
• Thanksgiving week - Nov. 23 - 27
• Winter Break - Dec. 21 - Jan. 1
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day - Jan. 18
• Spring Break - March 14 - 18
• Easter Break - March 25
• Battle of Flowers - April 22
• Memorial Day - May 30

A few school districts will hold classes on Columbus Day. Staff development and bad weather makeup days vary from district to district.
