KISS performs at benefit concert to help Houston-area high school

Concert was at Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land

SUGAR LAND, Texas – The band KISS visited the Houston area Tuesday for a benefit concert to help Kingwood High School and its recovery efforts after Hurricane Harvey.

The benefit concert was held at the Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land.

Organizers said the goal was to help replenish the Kingwood High School's fine arts program.

About 300 kids were expected to be present at the concert wearing their Kingwood High School colors and some with painted KISS faces, organizers said.

KISS sang at the concert "Rock and Roll All Nite," in which the kids and administration with the Kingwood High School took their respective places all around the arena, dancing to the song, organizers said.
