Something Wicked is coming to the Majestic Theatre

SAN ANTONIO – You can see the untold story of the witches of the Wizard of Oz at the Majestic Theatre in downtown San Antonio. The Broadway musical opens Wednesday and runs through October 14.

Wicked is based on a novel by Gragory Maguire. It shows an unlikely friendship between the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch, long before Dorothy arrives in the land of Oz.

“ it's got all the bells and whistles,” company manager Steve Quinn said. “So we've got flying witches and we've got flying monkeys. We've got all the things you would see in New York, and a couple of extra special effects that they don't do in New York.”

You can sign up for the daily lottery to buy two tickets for $25 each.

Just show up two and a half hours before the performance and put your name in the drawing. You must be present to win.

This is the fourth time Wicked has come to San Antonio and the first time it is here for three weeks.

Buy tickets starting at $53.50 online at www.ticketmaster.com. Or call 1-800-982-2787. Tickets can also be bought in person at the Majestic box office.
