GCSO: Ex-Harper ISD employee sentenced to 15 years after recording people in high school dressing room

GILLESPIE COUNTY, Texas – A former Harper Independent School District staff member has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after investigators said he secretly recorded students.

The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office says Pedro De Luna III was sentenced on Sept. 3 on the following counts:

• Three counts of possession of lewd visual material depicting a child
• Twelve counts of invasive visual recording of a bath or dressing room
• One count of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair
• Child pornography

The sheriff’s office said the investigation began in November 2025 after deputies were notified that De Luna had allegedly recorded a juvenile girl in a bathroom at his home.

As investigators reviewed the case, they identified 10 victims, according to the sheriff’s office.

Nine of those victims were recorded in a dressing room at a high school where De Luna worked, investigators said.

GCSO said deputies also recovered more than 50 photos and videos depicting child sexual abuse material.

Deputies said he also attempted to delete and conceal evidence.
