Big plates and big flavors served in local seafood restaurant

Flavor Favs: El Bucanero

SAN ANTONIO – For about four years El Bucanero has been showing San Antonio a different style of seafood.

Now in two locations, 16505 Blanco Rd, and 13802 Embassy Row, El Bucanero spotlights a menu of nothing but fresh options.

The restaurant was opened up to give customers a taste of seafood from the Pacific Coast of Mexico.

"My family is from the state of Sinaloa in Mexico and the Pacific Coast and that is what Sinaloa is known for, seafood," owner Elizabeth Cervantes said.

Now this family business is creating menu items called: molcajete campechana, pescado a la plancha and el gran pachanga.

"Mexican seafood is that taste, that salsa, the lemon, the salt, the pepper," Cervantes said.

Open seven days a week, this place is one that brings different flavors to San Antonio and will also satisfy the biggest appetites.
