Public invited to investigate South Texas ghost town

Paranormal investigation to take place Oct. 27

SAN ANTONIO – Helena, Texas, in Karnes County, was once a thriving town, but when the railroad was moved, it became a ghost town.

A few of the original buildings still stand today, and this year, the public will get a chance to see if any of those buildings are haunted.

On Oct. 27, a live paranormal investigation by Afterlife Paranormal Society will take place.

The investigation is open to the public, but it does cost $25 to attend.

It will go through the old post office, a farmhouse, the original Karnes County courthouse and the Helena jail cells.

The investigation will be three hours long and starts at 7:30 p.m.
