Free Clinic on Friday for peripheral artery disease

Clinic to be held at Southwest General Hospital

SAN ANTONIO – Peripheral artery disease is something thousands deal with every day, and doctors in San Antonio are hoping to help those in the community most at risk.

Southwest General Hospital is opening a new Limb Salvage Program as a way to help patients not only in San Antonio but all of South Texas.

The hospital will be providing a PAD clinic on Friday that will be conducting free screenings.

The screenings are brief, painless and non-invasive.

Southwest General Hospital 

7400 Barlite Blvd

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Classroom A

You may consider screening if you are over the age of 40 with diabetes and have one of the following: high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, history of foot wounds.
