Widow receives Christmas tree, gift cards to start new holiday tradition KSAT's Holiday Helper provides cheer to family
SAN ANTONIO – KSAT is hoping to make Christmas a little brighter for several families who won the Holiday Helper contest.
Debra Arriaga hasn't put up a tree for nearly a decade. She lost her husband when her son was just 16.
Ever since that time, she's struggled to make ends meet and could never find enough holiday spirit to decorate a Christmas tree.
Arriaga entered KSAT 12's Holiday Helper contest and won a new Christmas tree, plus four Visa gift cards to buy presents that'll go underneath the tree.
Arriaga hopes to have a merrier Christmas this year and finally gain back her holiday cheer.
KSAT 12 and our community sponsors are teaming up this season to give back to those who have kept alive the spirit of giving all throughout the holidays, as part of our Holiday Helper campaign.
The KSAT 12 Community partners include Security Service Federal Credit Union, Corner Store and University Health System.
