SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police arrested a South Side father who they believe crossed the line from spanking to abuse.
Domingo Flores, 40, was taken into custody Tuesday on a charge of injury to a child.

According to an arrest affidavit, police said they found hand prints on the back and shoulders of his 9-year-old son.
The affidavit stated police were called to the family's home on Yett Street for an assault.
When they arrived, the boy told them his father had been spanking him for talking back, the affidavit stated.
The child also told investigators that he began squirming, causing his father to miss his intended target, which was his backside, the affidavit stated.
Still, police reported in the affidavit that the spanking went beyond what is considered a reasonable form of discipline.
Flores was booked into jail with bond set at $10,000.
