Arson declared in fatal apartment fire Rudy Alejos, 6, died in blaze
SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are now investigating a fatal apartment complex fire as arson.
Around 11:45 p.m. on Aug. 16, 2011, a multiple-alarm fire was reported at the Summerview Apartments at 4700 Stringfellow Drive.
According to police, the fire resulted in the destruction of multiple buildings, the displacement of hundreds of occupants and the death of 6-year-old Rudy Alejos.
Arson investigators say they are hoping someone saw or heard something and now are ready to come forward.
