SAN ANTONIO – Family and friends gather to remember a student who died last week from a brain aneurysm.
The family of Brianna Solis, a student at Burbank High School, said she had been complaining of headaches when she collapsed late Wednesday.
Solia, 14, was rushed to the hospital, where doctors found that she had suffered a brain aneurysm.
Friday night, friends and family gathered at the Burbank High School auditorium to remember the freshman.
"Every time I would see her in the hallway, she would stand out because she was such a special person," said Ganna Perez, a friend.
"There's a lot of remembrance of her here, and you can feel the sadness here, but also the joy knowing she's in a better place," said Rhianna Oviedo, a classmate.
Those who knew Solis said she had a huge heart, which in turned helped save the life of someone else.
Her family donated her organs in an effort to bring them a sense of peace.
