Prominent lawyer Jimmy Parks Jr. dies

Parks dead at 61; leaves behind wife, daughter

SAN ANTONIO – Prominent San Antonio attorney Jimmy Parks Jr. died over the weekend.

Friends said he died while exercising at home. His wife found his body.

Parks' wife called EMS and a retired paramedic neighbor, but could not revive him.

Parks was a popular defense lawyer and served as a broadcaster for Legal Matters and for high school football.

His clients included boxer Tony Ayala, Jr. and most recently South San School District Superintendent Ron Durbon.

Parks was 61. He is survived by his wife Liz and daughter Tina.
