Chihuahuas causing trouble in Corpus neighborhood
Pack blamed for chasing cars, killing area cats
No description foundCORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Animal Control was called to a Corpus Christi neighborhood on Thursday to deal with a trouble-making pack of wild Chihuahuas.
Neighbors said the dogs have been causing problems for a while after apparently being left behind by a hoarder.
The dogs have been seen chasing cars and are being blamed for killing area cats.
Animal Control officers were able to round up most of them Thursday, but a few are still on the loose.
The owner of the house was cited for code violations after city officials visited the house and found it unlocked with the electricity still running.
Neighbors said the homeowner told them he moved out about a week ago and left several Chihuahuas behind.
The city code enforcement department is now working the case.
The dogs will most likely have to be euthanized if the owner is not found.
