Walters Gate to close at Fort Sam Houston this weekend

FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas – The Walters Street Gate will be closed from 6 p.m. Friday, March 23 until approximately 4 p.m. March 25 due to ongoing construction in the area.
The Jadwin Gate will serve as the alternate entrance to the installation until the Walters Street Gate is re-opened. The Jadwin Gate is located east of Walters Street and can be accessed via the AT&T Center exit off Interstate 35.

Additionally, the New Braunfels Gate, located west of Walters Street, will be open for outbound traffic from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 24 and from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 25.
Non-Department of Defense ID card holders will have the option of entering through the Harry Wurzbach or Jadwin gates.
