Doctor fatally struck by truck in Medical Center Victim identified as 33-year-old Patrick Lindner Jr.
A the driver of a pickup truck lost control around 8:40 am Monday hitting Patrick Lindner, Jr., along the 7600 block of Wurzbach in the Medical Center.
SAN ANTONIO – A pedestrian who was reportedly a doctor was fatally struck by a pickup truck Monday morning while walking along the sidewalk in the Medical Center area.
The pedestrian was identified as 33-year-old Patrick Lindner Jr.
San Antonio police said the driver lost control, jumped a curb and struck Lindner around 8:40 a.m. along the 7600 block of Wurzbach.
Lindner, who was reportedly a doctor with the VA Hospital, was critically injured and rushed to University Hospital where he died a little before 1:30 pm.
Police say the driver showed no signs of intoxication. The crash remains under investigation.
