BCSO: Man charged in digging up body connected to kidnapping case Body of Christopher Varela, 29, dug up by Eugene Boston, 60
A man charged in connection with digging up a body in St. Hedwig over the weekend has been connected to a kidnapping case.
The body was identified Tuesday as 29-year-old Christopher Varela, a man reportedly kidnapped earlier this month.
A suspect, 24-year-old Terrence McKinney, was charged with aggravated kidnapping.
Over the weekend, 60-year-old Eugene Boston was arrested Saturday after he was caught digging up Varela's body in the 12800 block of FM 1346.
A Bexar County Sheriff's Office spokesman says investigators are treating Boston's case as a capital murder case, although he has only been charged with abusing a corpse.
