Driver slams into pillar at South Side gas station Woman narrowly misses fuel pump at Shell station
SAN ANTONIO – A driver lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a safety pillar at a South Side gas station early Thursday morning.
San Antonio police say the woman was exiting I-35 South at Benton City Road when she hit several traffic signs.
The impact caused her to lose control and head straight for a Shell gas station.
Her SUV finally came to a stop after she struck the safety pillar which was located just inches from a fuel pump.
Police say she was not seriously hurt and may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
