Wimberley woman admits to lying about attempted kidnapping
Kristi White, 37, claimed a man tried to drag her into his car
WIMBERLEY, Texas – A Hays County woman is now facing charges after admitting to police she lied about an attempted kidnapping.
Kristi White, 37, told officers a man tried to drag her into his car outside a Dollar General in Wimberley earlier this month.
Investigators reviewed surveillance video from the area and saw White get into her car without issue.
When confronted with the video, White reportedly confessed to lying.
She was arrested Monday and will face charges for a false report to a peace officer.
