SAPD: Brigido Marmolejo-Gomez beaten in random act of violence


SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police and Crime Stoppers are searching for a suspect in connection with a murder case from 2013.

Investigators said Brigido Marmolejo-Gomez was severely beaten by a man at the corner of Jefferson and Auditorium Circle on Sept. 25, 2013.

Witnesses said it appeared to be a random act of violence and the man just began beating Marmolejo-Gomez for no reason. They said Marmolejo-Gomez's attacker took off in a blue and white car, possibly an early '90s model Chrysler New Yorker.

Marmolejo-Gomez remained in the hospital with severe head trauma until March 3, when he died from his injuries.

He was 69 years old.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case. Call 210-224-STOP.
