Pair of fugitives wanted for sex crimes against children

SAN ANTONIO – The US Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is asking for help to find two men wanted for separate sex crimes against children. Gross is wanted for indecency with a child by sexual contact. He has been wanted since June 2012 for two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child. Combined law enforcement groups combat child abuse

SAN ANTONIO – Children in communities in Bexar County and all over the world are being abused in many different ways. From physical assault and sexual assault to child pornography, child exploitation and child trafficking, all are different and equally concerning types of abuse. But local, state, and federal agencies are working together to keep children safe. Jimenez said that to save children from these nightmares, the combined agencies formed Project Safe Childhood in 2006. The San Antonio Police Department, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, the District Attorney's Office, the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security are all working on Project Safe Childhood.

She showed an officer a mark on her back she said was a result of Hawthorne punching her. Hawthorne told police he was sleeping when the woman woke him asking about another woman's phone number on his cell phone. Hawthorne said the woman came at him with a knife. Suspected serial bank robber wanted

SAN ANTONIO – He may look like any other customer, but police say the only business the man in these pictures had in mind was a crime. San Antonio police posted three pictures on their Facebook page Wednesday asking for help to identify the man. He's suspected of at least three bank robberies in San Antonio and one in Kyle, Texas. There was no specific information on the locations of the banks. Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the man.

Crime Stoppers trying to track down hit-and-run driver

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers need help tracking down a driver who hit a 68-year-old man and left him seriously injured. The incident happened Sept. 14 at 9 p.m., when a light-colored Mercury Grand Marquis struck Jorge Torres in the 2600 block of Nacogdoches Road. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification and location of the driver responsible for failing to stop and render aid. Anyone with information is urged to call 210-224-STOP (7867) or toll-free at 1-800-233-7867. Tips can also be texted to CRIMES (274637) or on the Crime Stoppers website.
