SAPD: Woman shot in stomach on NW Side

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police investigators said a woman in her early 20s was shot in the stomach Tuesday afternoon at the Hunters Glen Apartment Complex in the 8700 block of Datapoint Drive.

Investigators said she was badly hurt and taken to University Hospital.

They said they are not sure why she was shot, but that a man was taken into custody for questioning.

They said while that man is not being called a suspect, he was in the apartment with the woman when she was found shot.

They said the man made several conflicting statements.

Neighbors made the 911 call after hearing the gun shots.
