NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – Police are trying to identify a man whose body was found Tuesday in the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels.
According to police, a group that was tubing the river noticed the man floating face-down, lodged against a tree stump about a fourth of a mile from the Gruene River Bridge.

New Braunfels Fire and EMS arrived a short time later, pulled the man to shore and attempted to perform life-saving measures, but determined the man was dead.
Police said there are no signs of foul play, so the death is being investigated as a possible drowning.
The man is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180-200 pounds.
He has black hair, brown eyes, a mustache and was found wearing only red Reebok boxer briefs with a red waistband.
Police said there have been no reports of missing persons matching the man's description.
