Suspect arrested in shooting death at motel

SAPD investigating suspect ‘s involvement in second homicide

SAN ANTONIO – The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and SAPD Gang Unit arrested a suspect in connection to a July 17 homicide at a Northeast Side motel.

Charles Fields is wanted for his involvement in the death of Elliot Hudson at a Motel 6 off of Interstate 35 at Rittman Road. 

According to investigators, Hudson was in the parking lot when Fields allegedly came up to him and shot him several times.

Hudson’s friends drove him to the San Antonio Military Medical Center, where he later died.

The SAPD Homicide Unit is also investigating Fields as a suspect in the death of Jonathan Hernandez on Aug. 7, according to a SAPD Facebook post.

Hernandez’s body was discovered wrapped in a blanket underneath an East Side home on the 100 block of Potomac Street.
