Man caught on surveillance camera stealing Ford F250 Super Duty, police say


NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – New Braunfels police are asking the public to help them identify a man who they said stole a pickup truck from a business.

Police said a man was captured on surveillance video about 1:45 p.m. Aug. 5 getting into a 2005 Ford F250 Super Duty pickup truck parked at Rush Enterprises building in the 500 block of Interstate 35 South.

Several hours later, the stolen pickup truck was found in the Lowe's parking lot in the 1400 block of Interstate 35 South in New Braunfels.

The truck's ignition switch casing was damaged and several items, including sunglasses, a GPS device, a radar detector and various personal documents were missing. The items were reported to be worth about $700.

Comal County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to the man's arrest.
