SAN ANTONIO – For the second time in a week the San Antonio Fire Department has responded to a home in Southwest San Antonio for reports of explosives.
The home is located in the 7900 block of Dempsey.
SAFD said a person who lived in the home recently passed away.
A contractor was replacing pipes on Saturday and found a case of practice explosives under the home.
Inside the box were 75 rounds of practice 40-caliber ammunition.
A 300 foot radius was established around the home, and people in the six homes nearby were evacuated.
San Antonio police do not anticipate filing any charges.
