Bomb squad called to Kendall County trailer, discover man with mental health issues Surrounding roads closed for a time
KENDALL COUNTY, Texas – There was a large law enforcement presence in rural Kendall County Friday after reports of a man with explosives in a camper.
When deputies and the bomb squad arrived just after 10 a.m. they discovered a man having mental health issues.
Authorities did detonate a device inside the camper, when Sky-12 flew over the scene there were still multiple law enforcement officials investigating and photographing the area.
Westbound lanes of Interstate 10 at exit 533 were closed for about 40 minutes.
The man was taken to Methodist Hospital for evaluation and is not expected to face any charges.
