Several Nature Made dietary supplements and vitamin products have been voluntarily recalled due to Salmonella or Staphylococcus aureus contamination concerns, according to a news release by manufacturer Pharmavite LLC.
The items were sold nationwide to various major retailers and include the company’s adult gummies products.
The Northridge, California-based company advised all retailers and distributors to remove the recalled items from their shelves.
The company said it initiated the recall “out of an abundance of caution to protect public health.”
The press release stated the company discovered that Salmonella and/or Staphylococcus aureus testing were not completed properly on these specific batch lots.
There have been no reported cases of salmonella or staph related to Nature Made products.
Below is the list of the affected products in the release and how to contact the company:
Pharmavite also recalled two other products — Nature Made Adult Gummies Hair, Skin, Nails and Nature Made Vitamin D 1000 IU Tablets — for “other reasons.”
The company did not release any other details, but said concerns regarding potential Salmonella or Staphylococcus aureus contamination do not exist for these products.
