Firefighters respond to multiple cement truck fires

No one hurt; arson called to investigate cause

SAN ANTONIO – Investigators are trying to determine the cause of multiple cement truck fires overnight, fire officials said Monday.

The fire was reported just after 1:30 a.m. in the 9600 block of U.S. Highway 181 South.

Officials said firefighters originally responded to a call for a structure fire, but when they arrived at the scene they found three cement trucks burning.

Authorities said the cement trucks belonged to Ingram Cement Company.

No one was hurt as no one was at the plant at the time of the fire.

Arson now has been called to investigate the cause.

The investigation is ongoing.
