PLANO, Texas – Alaina Ferguson, 23, an ex-high school math teacher, has been arrested following allegations that she had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student.

Ferguson taught algebra at Plano Senior High School for two months before quitting in October.

The student wrote his Snapchat user name on a test while he was a student in Ferguson’s class, according to court documents.

The pair allegedly started exchanging nude photos and met at a park several days later, where they had sex on a bench.

The student and a friend met at Ferguson’s apartment, which she shared with her fiance, a couple weeks later and had sex again.

The student told police that he and Ferguson had sex in the apartment on several occasions.

Most recently, the student and Ferguson had sex in the back of the student’s pickup truck after a Nov. 4 football game.

"Ms. Ferguson told [the student] that she knew it was not the right thing to do, but it felt right at the time, and that she was going to break it off with her fiancé because she didn't feel anything with him," court documents state.

Ferguson is charged with sexual assault and was released Dec. 1 after posting a $100,000 bond.
