"What he likes to do is get on dating websites, meet women and then scam them out of their money," Kyle Koiner, a representative from The Colony Police Department said.

Alldred is also accused of impersonating doctors, lawyers and military service members.

Police said Alldred's act is not unique to Texas — He has been convicted of similar crimes in California, Arizona and Wisconsin.

"He makes a living going around the country and unfortunately, it can't happen here in The Colony, Texas," Koiner said.

The Colony Police Department spread the word about Alldred through a Facebook video that was posted to its page Tuesday.
