5 local colleges rank among list of safest college campuses in Texas

University of the Incarnate Word is No. 19 on list

SAN ANTONIO – Five of six local colleges are ranked among the safest college campuses in Texas.

The list was created by Niche.com based on data from the U.S. Department of Education, as well as feedback from student surveys.

The safest college campus in San Antonio is the University of the Incarnate Word, coming in at No. 19 in the state, followed by Our Lady of the Lake University at No. 20.

St. Mary's University ranked 42nd, University of Texas at San Antonio was No. 44 and Trinity University ranked 51st.

Texas A&M University-San Antonio did not appear on the top 60 list of safest colleges.
