SAN ANTONIO – Chipotle announced it will donate half of Sunday sales from its Texas and Louisiana stores to the United Way Harvey Recovery Fund.
According to a release, the fund will "help local United Ways meet the storm-related needs and support mid- to long-term recovery throughout the affected regions."

“We are deeply saddened for all of those who have been impacted by this devastating storm and we hope these efforts provide some relief during these very trying times,” Steve Ells, Chipotle CEO and Chairman said. “We are committed to taking care of our own, including the communities where our customers and employees live and work.”

You can visit any Chipotle in Texas or Louisiana before 10 p.m. on Sunday to contribute to the fundraiser. Half of all food and beverage sales will be donated to the United Way.
The release said digital, catering and takeout orders, in addition to any orders placed at Chipotle are also included in the fundraiser.

Last week, Chipotle donated more than 50,000 pounds food that was distributed to people sheltered at the Houston Convention Center, Children’s Medical Hospital and Food Bank of San Antonio. The restaurant chain also made a cash donation to the Red Cross and paid all employees for any time missed while restaurants were closed.
