Man cut with kitchen knife in argument with woman, police say

Incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. in 4600 block of River Canyon

SAN ANTONIO – A local man was cut with a kitchen knife during an altercation with a woman late Monday night and was taken to an area hospital, San Antonio police said.

The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. at a home in the 4600 block of River Canyon, not far from South W.W. White Road and Loop 410.

According to police, the victim told them he was on the couch attempting to put his youngest child to bed when the woman began arguing with him about his infidelity.

Police said the woman went to the kitchen and grabbed a knife, and then cut him twice.

The man said he raised his arm in an attempt to block his face and the woman hit his right arm, causing a deep laceration. He ran out of the house and called for help, police said.

The woman fled before officers got to the scene.

The wounded man was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center for his injuries.

Authorities say the children will be staying with relatives.
