WATCH: Crime Stoppers’ video shows robber in action inside NW Side convenience store

Police seeking clues about gunman

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are calling on a citizen-detectives to help them solve a convenience store robbery that happened earlier this year on the city’s Northwest Side.

They have released surveillance video from the store through Crime Stoppers, showing the robber in action, and hoping someone will recognize the man behind the mask.

The full-color video, which has accompanying sound, shows a masked man waving a gun and barking orders at workers inside VP Racing Fuels, located in the 1700 block of Fredericksburg Road.

“Open it!,” the robber yells. “Get on the (expletive) floor!”

Staff members immediately drop to the floor, realizing they’re being robbed.

As the gunman grabs money from the cash drawer, he repeatedly asks the workers where the money is.

They tell him several times that what is in the cash register is all the money they have.

The robber then proceeds to clean out the cash drawer and run out of the business.

Police are hoping someone will recognize the man in the video and help them take him into custody.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP (7867).
