Harris County has activated a Silver Alert for a missing senior who was last seen in the Houston area.

Charles Johnson, 73, is diagnosed with dementia and was last spotted wearing a black shirt and blue jeans on Thursday in the 9900 block of Wayward Wind Court in Houston.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Johnson was seen driving a blue 2013 Dodge Journey, with a Texas license plate that reads JTB7212 at 7:00 p.m. Thursday.

Johnson is described as being a Black male, 6 feet and 3 inches tall and weighs 266 pounds. Johnson has gray hair, brown eyes, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.

Law enforcement officials believe Johnson’s disappearance poses a credible threat to his own health and safety.
