Lytle Police auctioning off items from Polo underwear to work trucks on Saturday Some items up for auction were part of a shipping scam
Items being auctioned are: miscellaneous surplus and abandoned items by Lytle Police Department and old Public Works' trucks. (City of Lytle)
LYTLE, Texas – A wide variety of items will be up for auction Saturday in the city of Lytle.
The Lytle Police Department is hosting an auction from 9 - 11 a.m. at the Lytle Police Station located at 15245 Hester Street.
Some of the items up for grabs will be miscellaneous surplus and abandoned items and some old public works trucks.
Miscellaneous items run the gamut from Polo underwear to hair extensions to Birkenstock sandals.
According to Lytle Police Chief Richard Priest, some of the shirts, perfume, and shoes up for auction are from a shipping scam where someone used stolen credit cards to purchase high-end items with the intention of selling them overseas.
The auction will be cash only.
