Second suspect involved in string of robberies across San Antonio arrested, police say

Ozzie Losoya, 34, was arrested Thursday on aggravated robbery charges

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Police Department’s Robbery Task Force arrested a second suspect involved in a string of area robberies that began late last year.

Ozzie Losoya, 34, was arrested Thursday at his workplace on aggravated robbery charges. Police said he and another suspect, Michael Cain, committed seven robberies at hair salons, a fruiteria and two small phone businesses since November 2021.

Cain was booked on arrest warrants last week, according to SAPD.

The task force gathered video surveillance and collected evidence from the robberies before they were able to link Losoya and Cain to the crimes.

Officers found stolen property, clothing and identified 34 robbery victims, including two children, ages 8 and 9. SAPD said combined, they had six arrest warrants for Losoya and Cain.

Police said they have captured all of the suspects involved and that they hope this brings closure to the victims.

We’ll bring more updates to this story as they become available.
