Plan your weekend trip to the Great Texas Airshow at JBSA-Randolph

The Schertz Police Department urges drivers to plan ahead and expect more traffic

If you plan on heading to the Great Texas Airshow at JBSA-Randolph this weekend, there will be several directions to take.

For drivers traveling along Interstate 35 on the Northeast Side of San Antonio, make sure to plan your commute. Drivers can turn east on Loop 1604 and proceed to FM 78. Once there, turn left and then head to the airshow entrance.

If you are driving in from Schertz/Cibolo, turn south on FM 1518. Make sure to follow the signs that are in place and head to the airshow entrance.

Drivers on Interstate 10 East can head turn north at FM 1518. Proceed to Lower Seguin Road then turn left to the airshow entrance. Another route to take from I-10 includes a turn north on Loop 1604. Proceed to Lower Seguin Road then turn left to the airshow entrance.

The Schertz Police Department urges drivers to plan ahead and expect more traffic than usual. As a result of the airshow, the runways at Lower Seguin Road will be closed during performances.

That begins Friday, starting at 3 p.m. and lasting until 5 p.m. The airshow is expected to last through Sunday.
