LIVE OAK, Texas – The Live Oak Police Department is investigating a homicide after uncovering a body on Wednesday.

Police were called to the 10000 block of O’Connor Road around 3 p.m. for a report of a body in a wooded area behind vacant apartments.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the case a homicide.

Law enforcement officers have continued investigating the area since the discovery of the body due to the size and complexity of the crime scene, Live Oak PD said on Thursday.

Authorities are withholding the identity of the person until the family has been notified.

The Texas Rangers, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, and Selma Police are also assisting in the investigation.
