Sixth-grade girl arrested for bomb threat at NISD middle school, district confirms

Threats were not credible, NISD officials said

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – A sixth-grade student was arrested this week for making a bomb threat against Bernal Middle School, a district official confirmed.

A spokesperson with the Northside Independent School District said the girl is facing a third-degree felony charge.

Investigators determined the threat against the school in far west Bexar County was not credible.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about criminal activity or threats against Bexar County schools to send tips to SchoolTips@Bexar.Org or call 210-335-6000.
