Victim was left comatose after the shooting, police say

Police are searching for a suspect who shot a woman in the head and torso while she was driving in December.

The woman was shot around 2 a.m. on Dec. 29 while traveling west on E. Commerce Street near Honey Boulevard.

According to San Antonio police, the victim was driving a light blue Jeep SUV when a black vehicle drove up next to her and a suspect fired multiple rounds into the victim’s car.

Police said the woman was left in a comatose state after the shooting. Her current condition is unknown.

Crime Stoppers reported that the suspect vehicle fled the location following the shooting. The suspect is wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
