18-wheeler crash shuts down interstate exchange ramp in downtown San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO – A ramp that connects two interstate highways in downtown San Antonio is shut down after an 18-wheeler crash Wednesday.

The crash occurred at the exchange ramp that connects East Interstate 10 to North Interstate 35 near West Quincy Street.

Transguide images show the big rig on its side on the ramp.

TxDOT officials said the ramp will be closed for three to four hours for cleanup. Drivers are urged to take an alternate route.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.

There was no immediate word on what caused the crash.
