SAN ANTONIO – A 16-year-old was taken to the hospital on Tuesday night after shooting off part of his hand during an accidental shooting.
The incident happened at 9:50 p.m. in the 200 block of Sonterra Boulevard in Stone Oak.

San Antonio police said he shot himself in the hand while playing with a gun. Police are investigating who the gun belonged to.
He was taken to a hospital and his condition is unknown.
SAPD, SAFD and EMS responded to the shooting.
