Social media fast challenge will pay $100 a day

SAN ANTONIO – If you’ve been thinking about taking a social media fast, Reviews.org — a tech and internet company that’s been tracking social media use for a few years — is offering one person a chance to get paid $100 a day to take a break from social media for one month.

Tim Tincher with the company said their research shows people check their phones 205 times a day and that addiction is only increasing.

“Some of the top reasons why people wanted to actually take some time away from their phones this year was to, you know, get better time management. I think that’s a big one,” he said.

The Sign Out of Social 2025 Challenge is taking applications before Jan. 31, 2025. The winner will be announced on Feb. 7.
