SAN ANTONIO – A woman has admitted to leaving a 3-year-old child alone in a West Side parking lot so she could run errands, according to San Antonio police.
Officers arrested Laura Chub Choc, 27, on Monday on a charge of endangering or abandoning a child.
A police report says officers were called to the parking lot on W. Commerce near NW 39th street just before 2 p.m.
The report said witnesses told police they had seen the 3-year-old boy running around the area alone for about two hours.
Officers say they waited an additional hour before Chub Choc showed up at the scene.
The report said she told police she had left the toddler on his own while she ran errands. It said the boy was not hurt.
