Bexar County teen facing murder charges expected to be sentenced Rene Gonzales was 14 years old when he allegedly took part in deadly drive-by shooting

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – A teen facing two separate murder charges is expected to be sentenced on Thursday.
Back in October 2022, Gonzales, 18, was accused of taking part in a drive-by shooting that mistakenly targeted the wrong house. He was only 14 years old at the time.
Novita Brazil, 25, who was studying inside her home on Bald Mountain Drive in west Bexar County, was killed.
While out on bond for that case, Gonzales allegedly cut his GPS monitor in the summer of 2023.
Right before being rearrested, he was accused of fatally shooting a 54-year-old man who tried to break up a fight between teenagers.
