NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – A man died after suffering a medical emergency in the Comal River, according to the City of New Braunfels.
Officials responded Sept. 18 to the 100 block of East Lincoln Street near the last public exit of the Comal River.
The 63-year-old man from Hallettsville was pulled from the water after he suffered a medical emergency, the city said.
Life-saving measures were attempted, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the city. His identity has not been released, and next of kin has been notified.
The incident remains under investigation by the New Braunfels Police Department.
