San Antonio musician accused of possessing more than 50 child sexual abuse videos

Felix Juarez was arrested on Friday at Cool Crest Miniature Golf & Metzger Biergarten

SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio country musician was arrested last week on a charge of possessing child sexual abuse material after police found more than 50 photos and videos in an iCloud account, according to an arrest affidavit.

Felix Roberto Juarez, 52, who performs as Felix Truvere, was arrested Oct. 23 at Cool Crest Miniature Golf & Metzger Biergarten on the Northwest Side, where he was scheduled to perform. Jail records show he was booked Saturday.

The arrest followed an investigation that began after Juarez was arrested in June on suspicion of trespassing on a former neighbor’s property, according to information provided to KSAT.

That case involved allegations that Juarez recorded a young woman through her bedroom window. The woman, who is in her 20s, is the daughter of Flo Reyes, Juarez’s former neighbor.

Reyes said she has multiple recordings showing a man looking through the bedroom window on separate nights.

“It’s infuriating how comfortable he is up there,” Reyes said while reviewing the footage. “How comfortable he is looking at my children.”

“He’s known several of my children growing up,” she said of Juarez.

Reyes said she does not know how many times he entered the backyard but fears there may have been other incidents. She said her daughter has been traumatized by the recordings.

Police found videos in iCloud account, affidavit says

An affidavit states that a San Antonio police detective searched an iCloud account belonging to Juarez and found at least 50 photos and videos of child sexual abuse material on Oct. 7.

According to the affidavit, Juarez provided the detective with his iCloud email address. The email address and the detective identified the account as belonging to Juarez, who also uses the name Felix Truvere.

Reyes said she was shocked by the allegations.

“Oh my gosh, it was a shock,” she said.

She questioned how someone she had known for years could be accused of possessing the material.

“How could you have videos of children? You have children, Felix. You have two babies,” Reyes said.

Venue cuts ties with musician

Juarez was arrested at Cool Crest Miniature Golf & Metzger Biergarten on the day he was scheduled to perform there.

The venue said on social media that Juarez was an independent performer, not an employee, and would no longer perform there.

“We unequivocally condemn the alleged conduct, which is contrary to our values and the safe, family-friendly environment we strive to provide,” the venue said in its statement.

Reyes also expressed concern about Juarez’s performances at events where children may be present.

“He hangs around a lot of children,” she said. “If you look at his pages, he plays at pool parties, festivals.”

She said the allegations have left her questioning whether there could have been other incidents.

“You wonder what he’s capable of other than this,” Reyes said.

Future performances unclear

Juarez’s website, which appeared to have been taken down as of Monday, listed 20 scheduled performances through March 2027.

KSAT reached out to Juarez for comment and to ask whether the shows are expected to continue. It was not clear whether the performances would go on as scheduled.
